When creating new Excel-based forms (such as financial forms) for a case, you receive an error message which says:
TurboLaw could not open the document. Microsoft Excel returned with the error: Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A03EC
This error can be caused by a corrupt document template file. To see if this is the case, try opening the same document from either the "Blank/Empty Forms" window or from the "Search Documents" window. If the template file is corrupt, Microsoft Excel will display an error message saying that it is corrupt and that it could not be opened.
To fix this problem, the corrupted template file must be deleted. Once this is done, TurboLaw will automatically re-download it the next time it checks for updates (which usually happens when you open the program).
