"Oops!" error when opening TurboLaw - database related error

When you first open TurboLaw, you receive an unexpected error message (the "Oops!" message). If you click Try to Continue, TurboLaw will not open. If you click to show details of the error, you will see something similar to this:

Exception Type: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException
Exception Message: Unrecognized database format 'C:\ProgramData\TurboLaw\turbolaw.mdb'.

This problem is almost always caused by a problem with your TurboLaw database file - usually some form of database corruption. The latest versions of TurboLaw are able to detect problems with your database that older versions could not; this is why you may not have received any error previously.

 

If you encounter this error, you should contact TurboLaw technical support by phone at (800) 518-8726 x3, as your database will need to be repaired. In most cases, this can be done in just a few minutes.

Newer versions of TurboLaw are able to reduce the chances of your database becoming corrupted, so you will be less likely to have this problem again in the future.
