Cannot "trust" or enable macros

Every time that a TurboLaw document is opened, a "security warning" prompt appears regarding the macros in the file. Depending on your security level, you may or may not be able to click "Enable Macros." In addition, the check-box for "Always trust macros from this source" or "Always trust macros from this publisher" is grayed out and cannot be clicked.

This problem is caused by a missing "root certificate" on your computer for the certificate issuer "Thawte". Since the TurboLaw digital certificate is issued by Thawte, if its root certificate is missing from your computer, your computer will be unable to validate - and thus, unable to trust - the TurboLaw certificate.

To resolve this problem, you must install the Thawte root certificate on your computer. To do this, click on the following link to download the certificate: (if prompted, choose to "Save" the file to a location you can remember, such as your Desktop)

Alternatively, you may download the complete set of Thawte Root Certificates directly from the Thawte website.

Once you have downloaded the file, simply right-click on it and choose "Install Certificate." The "Install Certificate" wizard will appear. Simply click "Next," leaving the default choices selected, until you receive the prompt that "The Import was successful." The certificate is now installed, and you will no longer receive the prompt about macros every time you open Microsoft Word.

Note: this behavior may also occur when Microsoft Outlook is opened. This is because Microsoft Outlook uses Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages. Thus, whenever Microsoft Outlook is opened, it opens Microsoft Word as well. This causes the message to appear. To resolve this problem, follow the same steps outlined above.
