Unlike previous versions, Microsoft Word 2007 and Word 2010 do not have macro security levels of High, Medium, and Low. Instead, they use the Trust Center to allow you to select how to treat documents that contain macros.
This article describes the recommended settings for use with TurboLaw Document Software. Unlike previous versions of Microsoft Word, where it was recommended that you change your macro security level to Medium instead of leaving it at the default level of High, Word 2007 (as well as later versions, such as Word 2010) comes by default with a security setting that works with TurboLaw Document Software.
The recommended Trust Center security setting for Microsoft Word 2007 (and later) is Disable all macros with notification. This is the default setting and you should not need to change it.
If you have changed it by accident, here are the steps to change it back:
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Click on the Office button and choose Word Options.
- Click on Trust Center.
- Click on Trust Center Settings.
- Select Disable all macros with notification.
- Click OK to close the window.
